Komatsu Presents Future-Oriented Heavy Equipment Solutions in Iraq

As part of the 48th edition of the Baghdad International Fair, Sardar Automobile & Machinery Trading Co.Ltd. the authorized distributor of Komatsu equipment in Iraq, showcased top-tier heavy construction equipment within the Japanese pavilion from February 1st to 7th, 2025. This participation represented a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections with clients and spotlight the latest technologies and solutions Komatsu offers in the heavy equipment sector.

In line with Komatsu’s commitment to reinforcing its presence in the Iraqi market and enhancing strategic partnerships, Sardar Automobile & Machinery Trading Co.Ltd. welcomed an official delegation from Komatsu Middle East to explore future cooperation prospects and develop innovative solutions to support the growth of Iraq’s construction sector.

The delegation was led by Mr. Masaru Inoue, General Manager of Komatsu Middle East, and Mr. Tenma Kitamura, Marketing Manager for the Middle East. The visit focused on expanding service offerings and integrating advanced technologies with the needs of the Iraqi market to improve construction project efficiency and deliver more advanced and effective equipment.

Komatsu’s pavilion at the exhibition featured a display of distinguished models and services. Visitors had the chance to experience the driving simulator, offering an interactive and safe environment to learn heavy equipment operation. Also on display was the 2024 model WA380-6 Wheel Loader, known for its high performance in civil and construction work.

The participation went beyond showcasing machinery, also highlighting after-sales services and Komatsu’s advanced diagnostics system—an exclusive in Iraq and officially licensed by the Communications and Media Commission. Visitors could also explore a variety of genuine Komatsu spare parts, as well as non-original ones, allowing them to compare quality firsthand and make informed purchasing decisions.

Komatsu’s booth attracted wide interest from brand enthusiasts, offering them the opportunity to speak with knowledgeable sales advisors who provided detailed answers to all customer inquiries. The exhibition maintained an engaging atmosphere, with Komatsu dedicating a special interactive children’s corner featuring Komatsu model equipment—reflecting the company’s vision of educating future generations about innovation in heavy machinery technology.

The Komatsu pavilion also hosted a series of strategic meetings that brought together the Komatsu Middle East (KME) team with key public and private sector stakeholders.

Among the most notable was a meeting attended by Mr. Tenma Kitamura and Mr. Masaru Inoue, along with representatives from Sardar Machinery, where they met with major institutions and companies such as the Al-Abbasi Holy Shrine, Al-Narjes Company, and Shams Al-Binaa Company. Discussions revolved around the importance of innovation in heavy equipment and Komatsu’s role in delivering eco-friendly machinery to support sustainable infrastructure projects, reduce emissions, and enhance energy efficiency.
